Sarasota Paradise, proudly announces the appointment of Glodi Konga as our latest addition to the coaching staff. With a rich history of coaching accolades and a deep commitment to sports leadership, Konga brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Sarasota community.
Currently serving as the Head Men’s Coach at New College in Sarasota within the NAIA, Konga boasts an impressive resume. Prior to his tenure at New College, he showcased his coaching prowess at Eastern University (PA), Haverford College, and the University of Valley Forge. His coaching journey has seen him foster successful seasons and nurture talents across various levels of collegiate soccer.
Konga’s coaching acumen extends beyond the collegiate arena. Armed with a (UEFA) B license, he has actively contributed to player development in the NPSL, focusing on preparing athletes for the challenges of the next level. His commitment to continuous growth and learning is underscored by his academic achievements, holding a BS in Exercise Science, an MS in Sports Management from Liberty University, and a Ph.D. in sports leadership from Concordia University in Chicago.
When asked about his decision to join Sarasota Paradise, Konga expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I chose to be part of Sarasota Paradise because its mission and vision resonate deeply with me. I am inspired by the potential to make a meaningful impact in this vibrant community and believe in our capacity to achieve remarkable things together.“

Their friendly demeanor, inclusivity, and genuine respect for one another create a welcoming atmosphere that I am grateful to be a part of.“
Aside from his professional achievements, Konga shared some intriguing personal insights, revealing, “I share a special bond with my twin. I am fluent in three languages, which enriches my interactions and perspectives. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has become a passion of mine, as I enjoy the mental and physical challenges it presents while also fostering discipline and resilience.“
