Sarasota Paradise is proud to welcome experienced midfielder George Waites to the squad ahead of the 2025 USL League Two season. A senior at Xavier University, Waites brings leadership, consistency and top-level experience to the heart of the Paradise midfield.
Over his college career, Waites has been a mainstay in the Xavier lineup, making 54 appearances and starting 52 games while contributing 7 assists. His ability to control the tempo of the game as a central or defensive midfielder makes him a valuable addition to the roster.
Before his time in the U.S., Waites spent 10 years developing in the prestigious Middlesbrough FC system in England — a testament to his high-level training and competitive pedigree.
