SETTING THE SCENE
Sarasota Paradise return to USL League One play for the first time since July 8, welcoming interstate rival FC Naples in the Battle for Paradise. The teams have faced off twice this season, with Naples earning a 2-0 win in league play back on April 11 while Sarasota won their USL Cup group match by the same score on June 6. Naples have struggled mightily as of late, losing nine straight games in all competitions since May 30. With a chance to take the season series and bragging rights over their rival, the Paradise will look to be in top form on Saturday night.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Sean Karani, FW – The Forward featured as one of the USL League One Newcomers To Watch entering the 2026 season and has been a constant presence for the team, appearing in 13 out of the team’s 18 games thus far. Karani has won 40% of duels both in the air and on ground, and has an accurate pass percentage of 72% in league play. Karani has featured as an outside winger and a central striker this season, so look for him to use his pace to create chances out wide or in behind the Naples defence.
