Sarasota Paradise secured their place in the 2025 USL League Two playoffs after beating Miami AC 0-16 at Pace High School in Miami, Florida.
Sarasota put on an attacking masterclass in Miami, with seven players scoring a goal. Andres Freire, who earned the player of the game award, scored a jaw-dropping five goals in the win while also having five assists. The incredible 16 goals was the biggest win in Paradise history.
The goal scorers for the game were Andres Friere (5), Owen Barnett (3), Elias Khodri (2), Fabrizio Bernal (2), Romeo Dahlen (2), James Maxwell (1), Nikola Slijivic (1).
With the win in South Florida, Paradise have confirmed back to back playoff appearances. “Harder this year than last year, the division is stronger, and I am proud of our group’s performance tonight and determination to be back in the playoffs” said Head Coach Mirko Dakovic on the squad’s determination and mindset in the 2025 season. Striker Andres Freire on Sarasota going to the playoffs for the second year in a row stated “Doing it once, good teams do it, doing it twice takes character.”
The team still has one game to play, which is the regular season finale. Sarasota will be at home at Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch to take on FC Miami City on July 12th.
