Paradise extended their win streak to four with a convincing 2-0 victory over Miami AC at home.
After a cagey and defensive start, the breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Freire struck a beautiful volley into the top right corner to open the scoring.
Following the goal, Paradise continued to apply pressure, pushing hard in search of a second before the halftime whistle.
Coming out of the break, Miami AC turned up the intensity, pressing forward in hopes of an equalizer. But Paradise’s defense held firm, anchored by Sunrise Irrigation Player of the Game Jack Kilstrom, who secured the clean sheet.
“I think that coming off of a tough win, it says a lot about our team to come out and perform the way that we did at home and make sure that we grabbed the 3 points that we needed,” Kilstrom said postgame.
Freire doubled the lead in the 57th minute, converting from a corner to notch his second of the night and seal the win for Paradise.
“Feeling great. Can’t wait to see where it’s going,” said Freire after the game.
Defender Felipe Rojas reflected on the team’s growing form: “The team’s gaining momentum. Very pleased with the performance — we’re getting stronger defensively and offensively.”
Paradise will be back in action this Wednesday as they travel across Alligator Alley to face Miami City FC.
