Moving on to our third match of the season, the squad traveled East to face Altitude Rush in their home field. Sarasota Paradise emerged victorious in this encounter, securing an impressive 5-1 win. The Paradise players demonstrated their exceptional skills and controlled the field throughout the match, earning a well-deserved triumph.
The game began with an early breakthrough for Sarasota Paradise when Fabrizio Bernal netted a goal in the 6th minute, giving our team an early lead. This initial goal set the stage for Paradise’s attacking prowess. Maintaining our aggressive style of play, Isaiah Easley extended the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute, leaving Altitude Rush struggling to respond.
Bernal wasn’t content with just one goal and showcased his extraordinary talent once more, scoring his second goal of the match in the 25th minute. Paradise continued to apply relentless pressure, and Bernal completed his hat-trick with another remarkable goal in the 28th minute, increasing their lead to an impressive 4-0.
Isaiah Easley, having already made a significant impact on the game, further extended Paradise’s advantage with a fantastic goal in the 41st minute, making the scoreline 5-0. Altitude Rush managed to salvage some pride just before halftime, finding the back of the net in the 45th minute, reducing the deficit to 5-1.
In the second half, Sarasota Paradise, capitalizing on their comfortable lead, decided to give playing time to other squad members. They made a total of seven substitutions, ensuring that everyone had a chance to showcase their abilities and contribute to the team’s development.
After this remarkable victory, Sarasota Paradise climbed to 4th place in the USL L2 South Florida division. They would go on to to face the table-topping Miami AC in what turned out to be the greatest game so far in Paradise history.
