The season concluded last July, and while we fell short of the divisional title, we are all already getting the work underway for next season. And we are going for more than just the division title, we are striving to be champions of the entire league. The season starts in May 2024, so for now, for the fans, we want to share the Story of Paradise, from the beginning.
Sarasota Paradise, the much-anticipated sports team that has taken Sarasota by storm, brought a wave of excitement to sports enthusiasts and residents alike in the summer of 2023. Marcus Walfridson, a former professional coach in Sweden with a stellar track record, fell head over heels in love with Sarasota when he first visited. The city’s vibrant atmosphere and the warmth of its people struck a chord with him. Determined to share his love for sports and his newfound appreciation for Sarasota, Marcus decided to establish a team that would make the city proud.
This ambitious project was entrusted to his sports consulting firm, Audigr, which is renowned for its commitment to helping sports teams achieve unparalleled success. Audigr’s remarkable efficiency and expertise allowed them to complete the project in an astonishingly short six months.
Brand Reveal
The culmination of their efforts was celebrated at the brand reveal party, where Sarasota Paradise fans gathered in anticipation. The official Paradise logo and brand were unveiled, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the city and its sports aficionados.
Tryouts
Players from all corners of the nation and prestigious colleges flocked to Sarasota to audition for the new club. This not only fulfilled the dreams of local Sarasota players who yearned for a chance to represent their city but also showcased the team’s wide-reaching appeal.
First Training Session & Jersey Reveal Event
The first practice session was a memorable occasion, as players not only worked on their skills but also forged lasting friendships. It became evident from the outset that the team possessed an abundance of talent and, perhaps more importantly, strong character, setting the stage for an incredible season ahead. The first training session was quickly followed by the jersey reveal party, where fans gathered to meet the team and see the new jerseys. Fans were amazed by the designs and they bought merchandise that they could show off at the first home game.
