Sarasota, FL – September 20, 2023
Sarasota Paradise recently had the privilege of participating in a special event hosted by Sister Cities Association of Sarasota, where team owner Marcus Walfridson delivered a presentation that highlighted the team’s commitment to fostering unity and cooperation within the Sarasota community and beyond.
Sarasota Paradise is not just about soccer; it’s a symbol of unity, sportsmanship, and community engagement. Marcus Walfridson, the visionary owner of the team, took the stage at the SCAS luncheon to discuss how the team is dedicated to bringing people together through the beautiful game. His presentation was met with enthusiasm, as attendees learned about the team’s mission to bridge cultural gaps and promote a sense of togetherness in the local community. The city commissioner and huge Sarasota Paradise Fan, Jen Ahearn-Koch was also in attendance for the luncheon.

Sister Cities Association of Sarasota is a nonprofit organization that seeks to create global connections by establishing relationships between Sarasota and cities around the world. Their mission is to promote peace, understanding, and collaboration through cultural exchanges, educational programs, and community initiatives. This organization believes that fostering international friendships can contribute significantly to the promotion of world peace and harmony.
“We are truly grateful to SCAS for inviting us to share our vision and goals,” said Marcus Walfridson, owner of Sarasota Paradise. “Their mission to promote peace through cultural exchange resonates deeply with our team’s values. We look forward to collaborating with them in the future to create a more connected and harmonious world.”
The event was not only an occasion to learn about Sarasota Paradise’s commitment to unity but also an opportunity to strengthen the bonds within the Sarasota community and beyond. As the Sarasota Paradise team continues to represent their city on the soccer field, they are also champions of unity, understanding, and cooperation off the field.
